We were so inspired by the barn owls at the Tracy Aviary that we ordered owl pellets from Amazon. That’s right… vomited owl fur balls. This afternoon we dissected them and found teeth, jawbones, skulls, legs, arms, claws, and lots and lots and lots of fur. Oh my nasty. Sometimes education is gross. The company we purchased them from had provided a diagram of the skeletons of possible prey. Our owls had mostly dined upon voles. What a thoroughly disgusting and entertaining afternoon.
