C has 12 cavities. Yes. You read that right. 12. I know it is controversial, but I blame breastfeeding. He just didn't have the early access to fluoridated water like the other three had with their formula bottles.
He had to be NPO (nothing to eat or drink) to get
half of his cavities filled today so we brought him into bed with us to
make sure he did not sneak any food or water. Steve was still sleeping and I could
see Cs hand around his Daddy's shoulder. So stinking cute.
Then it was
time for the dentist. We were not sure how he would do so we decided to
sedate him. He was hilarious with no filters. He kept talking about his
favorite fruits and vegetables. He took the topic very seriously and
decided he is a fan of beets. Funny because that does not translate to
real life where he barely chokes them down. He was very pleasant while
he was being worked on and kept trying to have a conversation with the
dentist while they were working on his teeth. The dentist kept having to
tell him to stop talking so they could get the work done. He is a very
chatty, personable child.
Because he was sedated he had to be watched
for the next 6 hours. He was so sweet. He came home and rested right on
the kitchen table while he enjoyed his treats. We will go back in a
month to get the other half of his mouth fixed. So grateful for dental insurance.
