Shortly before the world shut down with covid we got in the habit of daily family scripture study. It is something we still do everyday. We gather in the living room in the morning around 8:30 and it lasts about 15-20 minutes. Steve and I take turns each week studying the Come Follow Me lesson and discussing parts (or all) of the assigned chapters. We keep it really casual. Most days there are questions, answers, discussions, and fighting. You know...because we are a normal family.
Steve and I frequently wonder if this time in the scriptures is going to help or hurt the kids later in life. Are we helping to create a solid foundation or will they be angry and filled with guilt over gospel teaching? Obviously we are hoping for the best. But who knows? Only time will tell.
