This week's Come Follow Me lesson was on being one or being unified in Christ. This can be hard to do when so many people with differing opinions and life experiences come together and rather than listen and learn from one another, rip each other apart. To illustrate the need for everyone we made cinnamon rolls for home church. We cannot have delicious cinnamon rolls without cinnamon or sugar or eggs or flour or butter. Yes there are substitutes but they are not as good as the real deal. Just like cinnamon rolls, we need everyone to bring their differences and work together and in the process become closer to Christ. The kids decided they love these kinds of lessons and we should have more of them.
