There comes a day when you recognize you are getting older. For Steve this has been a gradual realization. He has been complaining that he can’t see when he is reading. That’s right. My husband who has had perfect 20/20 vision all his life can no longer see things up close. He has put up a valiant fight to avoid reading glasses. To coax him into embracing his failing eyesight, I bought a few pairs of reading glasses at the Dollar Tree and that was all the impetus he needed to purchase the ones he wanted. It is strange seeing him in glasses but he is amazed by all the tiny things he can now see up close.
