The kids happily trimmed the tree tonight. Even though I am no fan of Christmas, the house always feels so cozy once we get the decorations up.
This year's ornaments are all COVID related. Pretty much sums up the year.
I have read scuttlebutt that these types of ornaments are "tone deaf" and "insensitive". I can absolutely see that, however, different trials and challenges affect others differently. In all honesty and with complete gratitude, I can say that in this house we are living our best lives and I am thankful we have had this year to grow closer as a family and ride this wave together.
