Grapes and the wasp

Our friends called to tell us the grapes were ready to be picked. We left M and C home and met my Sister for a picking whirlwind. We had a solid plan which promptly fell apart after D was stung on the forehead by a wasp five minutes after arrival. J has carried an Epipen and Benadryl for the last decade, but recently stopped because the wheat introduction is going so well and we aren't going anywhere these days. So I was seized with instant terror because I am far from home and unprepared for all possibilities. Steve and J ran to his parent's house, I called my sister to stop for Benadryl, and then walked over to the in laws with D who is wailing. Grammy and Grampy met us in the driveway with ice and cookies (Thank you) and Steve gave him an adult dose of antihistamine because he now had a quarter size welt that was rapidly growing. It took a bit for him to calm down and he spent a good chunk of time recovering from his wounds before he was able to rally and pick with us. Even with that hiccup we were able to get it all done within a few hours.

My Sister is getting married next week, but was able to set aside some time to pick with us.
Thank you for the help!
