Wrapping up the school year

We are so ready for school to be over. It has been a rough couple months. Once the dust settled, two of my kiddos had great distance learning experiences, one did not. It came down to teachers and their ability to adapt to a virtual learning environment. Here are some of the things the kids have been involved in during the last few days of school.

 YouTube art tutorials.

Doing school on the computer like his older siblings.

M experimented with nail polish.

Our dishwasher broke. It is dishes by hand for a few weeks simply
so we can teach the kids what it would  be like without one.
The smiles will most likely fade with time.

Discovering the laws of physics.

M challenged the boys to my favorite kind of competition.

We cannot do another school year like this one. It will break us all. As we have continued to monitor the pandemic in other countries it seems foolish to believe the United States disease process will be any better contained or easily resolved. This virus is not going anywhere and it's time to change our mindset to the reality this will be ever present in our lives for the next year or two regardless of what our political leaders are refuting, suggesting, and/or demanding.
