Baseball and remembrances

We got free tickets to attend any University of Utah Baseball game. We are not baseball people, but we are free baseball people. The nice thing about low expectations is that we are usually pleasantly surprised. We ended up having a great time. There was close, free parking and no lines. We sat behind home plate and were close enough to hear everything on the field. The players and umpires were kind and respectful to each other. Later we moved higher up the stands in the hopes of catching a foul ball. We would have caught one too, but I was coming out of my skin watching C press his little body against the guard rail and was terrified he was going to plunge to his death so we moved back to our original seats. Everyone was disappointed, but at least I could breathe once more. Overall, it was a great experience (The Utes won 5-1) and we would definitely go again.

Meeting and posing with Swoop.
A word regarding C's outfit...his Utah gear was in the dirty clothes because that is what chooses to wear most days. There was a major tantrum when we all wore red and he wore blue.
He is a Ute through and through.

After the game we headed to Steve's parent's house to visit the cemetery and clean graves. However, we needed sustenance before the task. Thank you In-laws for sharing your day and feeding us last minute! C pitched in to help Grammy with dishes and it reminded me of this and this.

Once we got to the cemetery the kids were enthusiastic helpers and impressive tree climbers and sitters.

I included this one because when Steve saw it he pointed out how manly he looks.
I wholeheartedly agree. There is nothing sexier than my devoted family man.

The annual tree climb/sit.
