Happy Meals are taken for granted in most of America, but because of J's wheat allergy, I realized today that my three boys have never had one. I swung through a McDonald's drive through to grab one for C to try. Talk about an experience, He loved it. His eyes sparkled as he slowly laid out each item and savored each bite or swallow of his Go-Gurt, fries, chicken nuggets and apple juice. It took him 40 minutes to eat everything because he was enjoying it so much and then...he discovered the toy. It was like Christmas. It was fun to watch.
After all the excitement he settled down with a good book. This boy is all about simple pleasures.
