My LDS congregation put together a service project for Primary Children's Hospital. They asked for people to make ugly monsters for the sick children. You need ugly? I can do ugly. M, J, and D were excited to help. They choose the fabric, traced them, and cut the monsters out.
I think they turned out pretty ugly.
