My Mom and her Husband gave D a trip to the Midway Ice Castles for Christmas and today was the day we got to see it. We have been once before and it was huge compared to what it was a few years ago. The kids were so excited. Their favorite part were the slides. Thank you for the experience and the hot chocolate!
On the way back to the car D started to cry. He had been so wrapped up in the fun that he hadn't told us his gloves had filled with snow and his fingers were freezing off. It was 14 degrees. Took us a half hour to warm them up. He and I got to snuggle in the front seat and he still managed this adorable smile despite his frigid digits.
Steve hung out in the backseat and fed the baby while they all munched on granola bars. Minivans are great.
