Vomitous blessing

My Brother and his wife invited us to be part of their little girl's blessing. Because they are in Las Vegas that meant a vacation for us. So we packed our bags and headed to St George to spend the night before driving the rest of the way.

Made a quick stop in Beaver.

The kids were great, but tired when we got there. We stopped at the grocery store to get dinner because that is the safest place for J. However, he was so tired that he fell asleep before he could eat. We had been in the room about ten minutes. He had been complaining of a headache so I woke him up to drink some water and eat a cheese stick. He laid back down. Sat back up. And while pivoting, projectile vomited all over the bed, the floor and even his brother.

I was already stressed because traveling with four kids is no small task and that one act sent me over the edge. I started barking orders to husband and children. Steve called to request a new room while apologizing profusely. That's right folks. It was so bad we had to change rooms which thankfully they were willing to accommodate at no extra charge. After things settled down, I grabbed the baby and went for a cooling down walk while waiting for our new room keys.

In the new room M and D obviously did not want to be near J so we got creative.

We made it through the night vomit free. We made it to Las Vegas in time for the blessing which was lovely.

We spent a few hours with them and then headed back to St George with my Brother joining us. The kids were thrilled to have their Uncle captive in the back seat. I'm sure he was less thrilled, but a great sport. They adore him.

After an eventful weekend we were all grateful to be home.
