The children had outgrown their cribs so I let them create makeshift indoor trampolines with the crib mattresses that had seen better days. They loved jumping and pile-driving one another. I waited for the kids to need stitches or casts for broken bones. Thankfully, neither was necessary. After many months, it was time for the mangled, broken springs, plastic and foam of the once pristine baby mattresses to make its way to the landfill. We said our goodbyes with a couple more evenings of jumping.
