To celebrate New Years Eve we headed to Midway to experience the Ice Castles. We loved it! Yes it was cold, but not painfully so. J, who is normally one reserved fellow, ran through the "halls", pushing past strangers who got in his way. We were there for an hour and a half. Truly magical. Plus we timed it so we saw the castles in the daylight and dusk and we learned it looks completely different in different lights. So cool.
