I love my clothesline and not just because I love saving money and the smell of crisp, clean clothes, but because it creates memories for children. When I was young we had a clothesline we used occasionally and I loved walking through the newly hung clothes, smelling the fresh scent of detergent and feeling the damp coolness on my skin.
Now my kids get that same experience. They love to swing around the pole, play hide and seek between the blankets, and climb on the laundry basket. Sure it takes a little longer to hang clothes when they are handing me multiple articles of clothing at once or dumping the full basket on the lawn, but we are making memories and that is far more important.
