A private showing

I did not make it to one parade this year. Such a bummer, but we did get to go to the South Towne Expo Center and see the Days of '47 floats up close and personal. What a treat! There were suckers for the kids which was their personal fave. We got to see and touch the floats and spend lots of time around the cool ones. We were able to read fun float making facts. (One float used eight pounds of glitter. I hoped they applied it outside.) Steve loved the U of U spirit emanating from the school's float. And my personal favorite event from the evening was the SLCC Marching Band who marched around the venue playing the parade classics like Sweet Caroline. What a fabulous way to spend the evening.

Steve's favorite float of all time.
(It doesn't matter that the rest looked like.
It's all in the name.)

M is less enthusiastic about attending the U.

Ever wanted to see the inside of a float?
You're welcome.

Play it again, baby!

Millions of children stood in line for face painting and balloon creations. Kind of felt bad for this guy, though.

M wanted to bring the treasure chest home.

The boys enjoyed the experience. Sort of.

M has fallen in love with the Llama, Llama books by Anna Dewdney.

And Mom is hoping we have a future missionary in our midst.
