Christmas

Christmas morning was our best one yet. This was the first year M was excited about Santa. I mean, she had chatted with the man. And she was thrilled by her gift. It was exactly what she wanted. (Phew!) After she was formally introduced to Ariel we played the game Spot It which was another Santa surprise.

Soaking up Christmas morning.
This was my first Christmas in four years I have not worked and it was a wonderful treat.

One fun present was from M's Primary teachers at church. Apparently they acted out the Nativity and documented the event for parents. I absolutely love the girl playing Mary. She's a natural.

Once the boys woke up, ate breakfast, and dressed they meandered downstairs and had a great time enjoying their gifts.

Then it was off to Steve's family.

D and cousin Charlotte stole a kiss. I suppose you could call them kissing cousins.

And then to mine. The Aunt Hildegarde gift winner was the gift Steve gave-a super creepy doll we picked up at a friend's Christmas party. It was a musical wind up doll that played Toyland while its head rolled back and forth and its porcelain eyes stared. Yep. Creepy. The pic does not do it justice.

Scout joyfully received her present from Grandma.

And promptly destroyed it.

This was the gift Santa was originally going to deliver to J. He wasted no time with the ladies.

He also wasted no time discovering other uses for his vehicle.

My Mom received a box of gourmet chocolates from a colleague so we ended the night by cutting each work of art into eight miniature tastes. My personal favorite was the lemon. Truly amazing.

Thanks for the lovely Christmas!
