M had her first homework assignment. Well, it was the first one I chose to complete. I am a huge fan of reading and spelling and we make time for that everyday, but if there is a whiff of busy work I choose to look the other way as M pulls it out of her backpack. Don't you just love the differences in parenting?
Anyway, she came home with the assignment to disguise a turkey so it would fit in with our family. We pulled out the paints and magazines and went to work. It had red and white feathers for the U of U and was covered in pictures of gardens, flowers, and cats. She was quite proud.
J had his first painting experience and was so engaged he could hardly spare a look at the camera.
And D got stuck under the chair.
