The Bar J Wranglers

A few weeks ago Steve surprised me with tickets to see the Bar J Wranglers. (Who? I know, I asked the same thing.) He had heard about these singing cowboy comedians for years and thought we should check them out. Last night was the big event and it was a hoot. These guys have been around for 32 years and we were seriously outnumbered by people of a more advanced age, but this turned out to have some great benefits. For one, the volume was perfect and did not hurt our ears unlike the time we heard Kanye and U2 when our ears rang for days after. Another benefit-everyone was very polite. There were no wild or rude teenagers running around pushing people just for the fun of it. And the thing I liked most about last night was that they gave a funny, clean show. Their musical talent was phenomenal. They sang two of my favorite cowboy classics, 'They Call the Wind Mariah' and 'Ghost Riders in the Sky'. These guys were genuinely funny. What a wonderful treat.

Oh, and for the record, we are no longer 'accident' free. (*sigh*)
