Mermaid and the Knights of the Round Table

On a whim we decided to go to Las Vegas to visit some friends of ours this weekend. We met our friends at the Excaliber for the Tournament of Kings. Talk about awesome! It is a horse arena with seating around the outside. You are served dinner (which you eat with your hands) while you watch the story of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table unfold. Awesome!! There is jousting, sword fighting, fireworks, wizards, knights, kings, and acrobats just to name a few of the highlights.


The next day we went to the Strip and walked around. We got gelato at the Belagio and we were able to see one of the water shows. We also saw the Comedy Pet Show that was featured on Animal Planet, but you know what? In short-not so good. You can't win 'em all.



By this time M was wiped out so we headed back to our friends house who had another treat to show us...

A MERMAID!!!

At the Silverton Casino there is a huge aquarium filled with tropical fish, sting rays, and every half hour-a mermaid! For 15 minutes she swims around and plays with the kids through the glass. The fish are so accustomed to her that they swim up to her and she showers them with pebbles. M was in heaven. She was glued to her every move and anytime the Mermaid waved, M waved back with both hands. That is true excitement for you.
